9-3 Homework Hints!

For problems where you might want to use the Google Calculator make sure you write the word "degrees" in your calculation.

For example, for #10 you might want to calculate something involving tangent. So make sure to type "tan(22 degrees)" or even "tan(22degrees)" into Google Calculator when doing your computation. Otherwise you will end up with an answer more than 100 times wrong!

Why does this happen? If you just type in "tan(22)" it computes the value using another measurement system. Not degrees but radians. Remember, we'll talk more about radians after the Star Test :).

Chapter 6 Homework Log

Just in case you lost/forgot/misplace this document, you can see it right here :). Note that it is formatted a little bit differently than the copy I gave to you in class. That is just a product of the FileSharing method I used.

Happy New Year (Belated)

Hello Everybody,

While I'm trying to figure out how to get everything rolling/moving so that you (students) can have all the tools that you need I figure that we should have a place for me to post things, we can discuss (on topic), and it's easier for me to post pictures, documents and what not. I am very familiar with Blogger so I think this will work quite well. Let's see how this works. My first task today is (sometime today) I will post the homework calendar so you can have access to it at all times. I'm going to try to make a Google Calendar but someone needs to (politely) hold me accountable for trying to get that up and running. Unless of course a student wants to try to play around with Google Calendar and see if they can hook it up :). I think you guys need to get familiar with web-tools. Just my opinion :).

Well, I'm off to get ready for a training today. Hopefully I'll see you guys on the net somehow somewhere soon.

Laters,
Ms. G
